Vijayawada: A special postal cover on ISKCON founder Acharya
Bhaktivedanta Swamy and ISKCON Golden Jubilee celebrations was released
at Buckinghampet head post office here on Friday.Speaking on the
occasion, K Somasundaram, Director of Postal Services, Vijayawada
region, said the Department of Posts brought out the special cover
hailing the activities of International Society for Krishna
Consciousness (ISKCON).
SV Siva Prasad, senior superintendent of Post Offices, Vijayawada
division, presided over the programme. K Siva Venkateswara Rao,
superintendent of Post Offices, Postal Stores Depot, Malladi Hari Prasad
Sarma, senior postmaster, Vijayawada head post office, G Siva Naga Raju
and S S V A K Kumar, assistantsSuperintendents of Post Offices, Revati
Raman Dasa, ISKCON Andhra Pradesh zonal secretary, Ram Murari Dasa,
ISKCON in-charge of Krishna and Guntur districts and others were present
on the occasion.
