For the benefit of eCommerce customers, the Department of Post on Saturday opened a new parcel hub at Thaemmaiyar Street in Sanganur near Kavundampalayam.
S. K. Sinha, Member (Planning), Postal Service Board, New Delhi, inaugurated the new building in the presence of Manju P. Pillai, Postmaster General, Western Regioj.In – Coimbatore, and G. Gurunathan, Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, K. Balasubramanian, Superintendent, RMS ‘ CB’ Division.
Products
Huge volumes of mails including parcels are being handled by India Post daily.
Many eCommerce customers are approaching India Post for delivery of their products through various modes of services. The products of major customers like Amazon, Shopping Zone, Snapdeal, Flipkart etc., are being processed through the parcel hub, Coimbatore, which deals with an average of 2,600 parcels per day .
The facility of booking and packing is provided at the newly opened parcel hub.
